New Zealand has implemented the decision under the Stockholm Convention, made by the 2025 Conference of the Parties, to restrict chlorpyrifos. The global entry into force date is 16 December 2026. The ban under the Stockholm Convention will take effect for New Zealand on 8 July 2027, in line with the final phase out of chlorpyrifos under domestic legislation.

Draft Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine “On Approval of the Criteria for Classifying Drinking Water as Natural Mineral Water and the Safety Requirements for Natural Mineral Waters and Spring Waters"

The draft Order provides for the approval of the Criteria for classifying drinking water as natural mineral water and the Safety Requirements for natural mineral waters and spring waters.The Criteria establish geological, hydrogeological, physical, chemical, physico-chemical and microbiological requirements for classifying drinking water as natural mineral water. These include requirements concerning underground origin, protection from contamination, microbiological safety, stability of composition, temperature and other essential characteristics within natural variations. They also specify the natural characteristics of the water, including mineral substances, trace elements or other constituents, and define the term “normal total microbial count”.The Criteria also establish maximum levels for certain naturally occurring constituents that may pose a risk to human health and provide for pharmacological, physiological and clinical studies where necessary.The Safety Requirements set out microbiological safety requirements for natural mineral waters and spring waters, including maximum levels for the total microbial count and requirements concerning the absence of parasites and pathogenic microorganisms. They also establish maximum permissible levels of naturally occurring constituents in natural mineral waters and maximum permissible levels of residues resulting from the treatment of natural mineral waters and spring waters with ozone-enriched air.
