The notified draft Royal Decree consists of a preamble, a single article approving the Regulation, six additional provisions, seven transitional provisions, one repealing provision and seven final provisions. The regulatory structure of the Regulation comprises 30 articles containing general provisions and 13 supplementary technical instructions that establish specific technical requirements.The purpose of this Royal Decree is to update the technical regulations in order to better adapt them to current needs, possibilities and technical solutions relating to gas fuel installations, taking into account technological developments and the experience gained through the application of the current Regulation.The draft Royal Decree consists of:• Single article. Regulation of Minister of Industry No. 22 Year 2026 on Mandatory Implementation of Indonesian National Standard for Building Safety Glass and Panels product produced nationally or imported, distributed, and marketed in Indonesia shall conform to SNI requirements. All Producers who produce these products shall perform compliance to those requirements, proven by having certificate SNI and SNI Marking product (SPPT - SNI).The product certificate for SNI marking shall be issued by product certification bodies that have been accredited by KAN and appointed by the Minister of Industry.Directorate of Cement, Ceramic and Processing of Non-metal Material Industry, Ministry of Industry is the responsible institution for the implementation of this decree and shall provide a technical guidance of the decree, which covers procedure of product certification and SNI Marking.Products which are distributed in domestic market that originated domestically and imported shall meet the requirements consisted in:1. SNI 9144-1:2022 for Safety Glass for Buildings and Panels – Part 1: Laminated Glass, for Laminated Safety Glass for Buildings and Panels;2. SNI 9144-2:2022 for Safety Glass for Buildings and Panels – Part 2: Tempered Glass, for Safety Glass and Panels.Safety Glass for Buildings and Panels that were manufactured or imported before this Ministerial Regulation comes into force may continue to be distributed until they reach the end user.
