Membership Types

Individual membership is available for individuals who have a role in the development or compliance of technical regulations / standards. The individuals may be employed in companies or self-employed as consultants, evaluators, auditors, researchers, trainers, etc. 


Different types of Individual membership:

Corporate membership applies to any company, firm, institution, LLP, trust, Society, or other incorporated entity registered in India whose business sector falls within the current scope of RRMA’s activities.

Membership subscription for Individual members (fellows and students) is free for the first year after membership registration approval, and will be converted to a paid subscription the following year

Individual Membership

Fellow member

RRMA Fellow Membership shall be available to individuals who have a role in the development or compliance of technical regulations/standards. The individuals may be employed in companies, or self-employed as consultants, evaluators, auditors, researchers, trainers etc.

The individual should hold, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree and must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in the industry, or in a regulatory/standards development/conformity assessment body, or in a related academic/research institute.

Honorary member

Honorary Membership shall be awarded on an honorary basis to individuals in recognition of their outstanding professional record, especially relating to their contributions in matters pertaining to technical regulations/standards.

RRMA Honorary Membership shall be granted on a lifelong basis.

Student member

An individual who is registered at a University or an equivalent research institution as a student or researcher at the time of member admission, and who is interested, directly or indirectly, in taking part in the activities of RRMA, shall be eligible to be admitted as a Student Member. An individual can remain a Student Member for a period of 18 months after they cease to be enrolled at a university or an equivalent institute.

RRMA Student Membership shall be granted on a yearly basis.

A student Member may apply to be enrolled as a Fellow Member at any time after completing their academic course or project.

Corporate Membership

Corporate members

Any company, firm, institution, LLP, trust, society, or any other incorporated entity registered in India, whose business sector falls within the current scope of activities of RRMA shall be eligible to become a Corporate Member of RRMA. RRMA holds the exclusive rights of admission of membership, which may be denied in case the applicant is facing litigation or has been convicted of a serious criminal offense. Admission for Corporate membership will be subject to the submission of a formal application form, together with supporting documents and the requisite admission fees.  

 

RRMA Corporate membership will be granted initially for a period of one year, and thereafter on receipt of extension application and fees for periods of two years. 

Premium member

The eligibility and other terms for becoming a Premium Corporate Member of RRMA shall remain the same as for a Corporate Member, except that the applicant Organization shall fulfill the additional following conditions:

 

⊙ The Organization must have existed for a minimum of five years 

⊙ The Organization must have a minimum of 50 employees 

The Organization must have at least one person designated to look after regulatory affairs
