Specifications On 7 December 2004, the Government of the Republic of Costa Rica notified, in document G/TBT/N/CRI/21, draft Central American Technical Regulation (RTCA) No. 75.01.20:04: "Petroleum products. Premium petrol. Specifications". The notified Technical Regulation establishes the physico-chemical requirements to be met by premium petrol for use in motor vehicles. It applies to the petroleum derivative known as premium petrol, which is formed from a complex mixture of different types of hydrocarbons (paraffinic, naphthenic, olefinic and aromatic) with a distillation (boiling) range of between 30°C and 225°C.
