Specifications On 9 December 2004, the Government of the Republic of Honduras notified, in document G/TBT/N/HND/8, draft Central American Technical Regulation (RTCA) No. 75.01.20:04: "Petroleum products. Premium petrol. Specifications". The notified Technical Regulation establishes the physico-chemical requirements to be met by premium petrol for use in motor vehicles. It applies to the petroleum derivative known as premium petrol, which is formed from a complex mixture of different types of hydrocarbons (paraffinic, naphthenic, olefinic and aromatic), and which has a distillation (boiling) range of between 30°C and 225°C. The purpose of the present Addendum is to notify WTO Members that this Technical Regulation has been updated and that there will be a comment and observation period of 60 days as from the date of this notification. The notified Technical Regulation establishes the physico-chemical characteristics of two grades of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG): commercial propane and commercial butane, generally used as heating fuel in the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors, as motor vehicle fuel and as a raw material in the petrochemical industry. Any blend of these products can be used provided that the blends comply with the specifications set forth in this Regulation. This Technical Regulation applies to LPG marketed in Central American countries.
