These specifications include the restrictions on and maximum permissible limits with regard to the microbiological organisms, physical and chemical contaminants (pesticides and/or foreign matter), heavy metals and metalloids, food additives and other contaminants present in these products. Upon final publication, compliance with this Standard will be mandatory throughout Mexican territory for natural and legal persons engaged in the production or importation of such products. This draft Standard is partially equivalent to the following voluntary Mexican standards: NMX-F-466-1984 "Food - Non-Alcoholic Beverages - Orangeade"; NMX-F-439-1983 "Food - Non-Alcoholic Beverages - Beverages and Soft Drinks - Classification and Definitions".
