Measures for the Inspection and Supervision of Import and Export Prepackaged Food Labeling

These Measures are formulated in accordance with the Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China, and including 5 Chapters and 17 Articles in total. The purposes of these Measures are to further clarify the main responsibility of enterprises for foods (labeling) operated and the supervisory responsibilities of inspection and quarantine authorities, and to improve and clarify various tasks in labeling inspection and supervision.

Revision of the Standards and Specifications for Foods and Food Additives under the Food Sanitation Act (Revision of agricultural chemical residue standards)

Japan has received some comments and relevant data through the WTO/SPS notification G/SPS/N/JPN/506 circulated on 13 April 2017. The MHLW has decided to modify the draft maximum residue limits (MRLs) for Abamectin in some commodities based on the provided data.

Draft Bill establishing maximum limit of lead in paints and materials similar to Surface coating, elaborated in the category of the National Commission Chemical Safety Agency (CONASQ), with a coordination of the Ministry of the Environment (Ministério do Meio Ambiente-MMA). Informed and identified suggestions should be forwarded exclusively through the electronic form available at www.mma.gov.br, within the deadline 45 (forty-five) days from the date of publication of this Notice. It revokes Law 11,762, 1 August, 2008, keeping the concentration limit of lead in paints and similar coating materials the approval of the new law by the congress.
