Food Fortification Regulations 2005

Food Fortification Regulations 2005 specifies the advertising/label declaration of food to which vitamins have been added. It contains the labelling declaration for: - children's food to which no vitamin has been added; and - vitamin fortification for children under two years. The regulations also cover minimum and maximum quantity of levels of vitamins and minerals which food fortified with vitamins and minerals should contain with respect to the reasonable daily intake of that food. It also specifies the labelling content for vitamins and minerals and packaging requirements. It further prescribes prohibitions, penalties and forfeiture for violators of the regulations.
