The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to withdraw TIS 740-2530 (1987) and replace it with TIS 740-25XX as well as to enforce as a mandatory standard. The standard classifies reactive dyes into 2 types i.e. warm dyeing and hot dyeing; specifies safety requirements, water solubility, moisture, colour difference of the sample when compared with standard colour specified by the manufacturer, colour fastness to artificial light (Xenon arc lamp) and to washing; includes packaging, marking and labelling, sampling and criteria for conformity and testing.
