Quarantine Requirements for the Importation of Animal Vaccines (Draft, available in English, 1 page).

The "animal vaccine" is referred to the preparations of which the ingredients are derived from micro-organisms. The products include the followings: A. 3002.30.10.00-4 "Vaccines against foot and mouth disease" B. 3002.30.90.00-7 "Other vaccines for veterinary medicine" For importation of animal vaccine, the importer shall have the License for Importation of Veterinary Drugs or permit for importation approved by the national competent authority. The imported animal vaccine shall be the same as described in the License for Importation of Veterinary Drugs or permit for importation. To import animal vaccine, each consignment shall be accompanied with an original certificate issued by the quarantine authority of the exporting country and state the following in English, Chinese or both Chinese and English: A. Name and address of the manufacturing plant. B. Name, amount of package and lot number of the products. C. If the animal vaccine was imported from a third country then re-exported to this country, the country name of production shall be stated. The content and form of the certificate shall be agreed by the animal quarantine authority before the first consignment is to be imported.
