The draft Law aims to establish the procedures for making available on the market of fertilising products in accordance with the EU regulations in force. The draft Law, in particular, provides for the establishment of mechanisms for conformity assessment of fertilizing products based on Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 June 2019 laying down rules on the making available on the market of EU fertilising products and amending Regulations (EC) No 1069/2009 and (EC) No 1107/2009 and repealing Regulation (EC) No 2003/2003.It also specifies the obligations of business entities when conducting conformity assessment and circulation of fertilising products.The Technical Regulation on conformity assessment of fertilising products will be approved by a separate governmental resolution.

The Proposal to amend the Cosmetics Products Group Standard 2020 (the Group Standard) considered amending the existing Group Standard to align with international developments, with the objective of ensuring the protection of human health or safety and protection of the environment. New Zealand notified the assessment report for the proposal in accordance with article 2.9.2 of the WTO.  The adopted version includes the following amendments to the notified draft requirements:  Updated definition of PFAS to include exemptions as defined in Reference Number 2 in Table 2 of Schedule 4 of the Cosmetic Products Group Standard 2020 amended January 2024.Longer transition periods for all amendments, including addition of specific dates for import/manufacture, supply, and disposal of cosmetic products.Removal of zinc pyrithione from Schedule 4 for banned substances and retained in Table 2 of Schedule 5 and Schedule 7 for New Zealand restrictions and preservatives, respectively. Removal of the duplication of 3 and 4-hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde (HICC) from Schedule 5 and retained as a banned substance is Schedule 4. Submissions received through the domestic consultation process and comments received on the notification to the WTO TBT Committee were considered as part of the process. Revision of the Mandatory Standard SI 1888 part 1, dealing with wheeled pushchairs, child conveyances, and prams. This proposed standard revision adopts the European Standard EN 1888-1:2018+A1: April 2022, with a few changes that appear in the standard's Hebrew section. The significant technical changes between the old version and this new revised draft standard are due to the adoption of the new European edition, and relate to the following issues:Chemical hazards; Entrapment hazards;Hazards from moving parts;Entanglement hazards;Parking device test method; Stability of the vehicle; Introduction of an informative Annex E giving relevant translations for warning sentences; Introduction of an informative Annex D giving information on the assessment of moving parts of canopies; Introduction of an informative Annex G giving information on the arrangement of approval marks for car seats. Both the old standard and this new revised standard will apply from entry into force of this revision for a period of 12 months. During this time, products may be tested according to the old or the new revised standard.

The Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, based on official information from the World Organization for Animal Health (WAHIS), has implemented temporary restrictions, effective from 22 November 2023. These restrictions apply to the import of highly pathogenic avian influenza virus and related products from the municipalities of Varde and Vordingborg in Denmark. The restricted items include live poultry and hatching eggs, fluff and feathers, poultry meat, and all types of poultry products that have not undergone proper heat treatment (at least 70 °C). It also includes feed and feed additives for birds, excluding feed additives of chemical and microbiological synthesis. Furthermore, hunting trophies, such as feathered games, and used equipment for keeping, slaughtering, and butchering birds are prohibited. Additionally, the transit of live birds from the above-mentioned territories through Kazakhstan is not permitted. However, for goods shipped before 22 November 2023, the decision regarding their admission should follow the usual procedure.
