This draft standard revision is based, with a few changes and national deviations on the UN document "</span></span><em>Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS)</em>"<span lang="EN-GB"><span style="letter-spacing:-0.1pt;"><span>.</span> This regulation is gradually replacing the 2 European directives which were the base for the standard's earlier edition (67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC) and that should be cancelled on 1 June 2015.
