This Final Draft Uganda standard gives the specifications which include mechanical, physical and chemical requirements of 27 distinct common cements, seven sulphate resisting common cements as well as three distinct low early strength blast furnace cements and two sulphate resisting low early strength blast cements and their constituents. The standard also gives the composition of each cement in terms of proportions and requirements of the constituents which are to be combined to produce these distinct products in a range of nine strength classes. Furthermore, this standard states the conformity criteria and the related rules. Necessary durability requirements are also given.

This Final Draft Uganda Standard specifies the methods for the chemical analysis of cement. The standard describes the reference methods and, in certain cases, an alternative method which can be considered to be equivalent. In the case of dispute, only the reference methods are used. The standard also describes methods which apply principally to cements, but which can also be applied to their constituent materials and other materials. An alternative performance-based method using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) is described for SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, SO3, K2O, Na2O, TiO2, P2O5, Mn2O3, SrO, Cl and Br.

This part of East Africa Draft Standard specifies technical requirements for plain bars to be used as reinforcement in non- structural concrete. This part of East Africa Draft Standard covers nine steel grades not intended for welding which are B240A-P, B240B-P, B240C-P, B240D-P, B300A- P, B300B-P, B300C-P, B300D-P and B420D-P, and one steel grade intended for welding which is B420DWP. The production process is at the discretion of the manufacturer. It also applies to plain bars supplied in coil form. The requirements of this part of ISO 6935 apply to straightened product. The steel grades are designated with steel names allocated in accordance with ISO/TS 4949. Plain bars produced from finished products, such as plates and railway rails, are excluded.

This part of East Africa Draft Standard covers ten steel grades not intended for welding which are B300A- R, B300B-R, B300C-R, B300D-R, B400A-R, B400B-R, B400C-R, B500A- R, B500B-R and B500C-R, and eleven steel grades intended for welding which are B300DWR, B350DWR, B400AWR, B400BWR, B400CWR, B400DWR, B420DWR, B500AWR, B500BWR, B500CWR aB500DWR, B550DWR and B600DWR. The steel grades are designated with steel names allocated in accordance with ISO/TS 4949. This part of East Africa Draft Standard covers products delivered in straight lengths. Ribbed bars produced from finished products, such as plates and railway rails, are excluded.

The proposed regulation clarifies that Proposition 65 listed chemicals in coffee pose no significant risk of cancer. It does not impose any mandatory requirements on businesses.  OEHHA has therefore made an initial determination that the adoption of this regulation will not have a significant statewide adverse economic impact directly affecting businesses, including the ability of California businesses to compete with businesses in other states.
