Distribution date: 17 October 2018 | Final date for Comment: 16 December 2018

This Draft Uganda Standard covers the test method for the determination if an automotive engine oil is homogeneous and will remain so, and if it is miscible with certain standard reference oils after being submitted to a prescribed cycle of temperature changes. This test method is very similar to the homogeneity and miscibility test described in FED–STD–791/3470.1.

DUS 2063:2018, Standard test method for measuring the effect on filterability of engine oils after treatment with various amounts of water and a long (6-h) heating time, First Edition.

Product Image

Distribution date: 18 October 2018 | Final date for Comment: 17 December 2018

This Draft Uganda Standard covers the test method for the determination of the tendency of an oil to form a precipitate that can plug an oil filter. It simulates a problem that may be encountered in a new engine run for a short period of time, followed by a long period of storage with some water in the oil.
