<p>Ministerial Decree no. 43 for the year 2016 mandates that imports for commercial purposes of the described products will only be allowed into Egypt provided they are produced by manufacturing plants or imported from the companies owning the trademarks or their distribution centres registered in the relevant established register in the General Organization for Export and Import Control.</p><p>Registration in or strike off from this register shall be decreed by the Minister of Foreign trade who also has the authority to allow for an exemption from some or all the requirements for registration.</p><p>To register in the relevant registry in GOEIC the following requirements apply:<br />First: For manufacturing plants :<br />- The submission of an application for registration by the legal representative of the producer, or an authorized person by the producer&nbsp; or his agent accompanied by the following accredited documents:</p><p>• The legal identity of the producer and the license issued for the manufacturing plant.<br />• The product varieties produced and their trademarks.<br />• The trademarks of the products and the trademarked products produced under license from their owners.<br />• A certificate that the producer maintains a quality control system. The certificate should be issued by entities accredited by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) or the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) or an Egyptian or foreign governmental entity approved by the Minister of Foreign Trade. </p><p>Second: For companies owning trademarks: <br />- The submission of an application for registration by the legal representative of the trademark owner company, or an authorized person or its agent accompanied by the following accredited documents:</p><p>• A certificate stating the registration of the trademark and the trademarked goods produced.&nbsp; <br />• A certificate from the trademark owner company containing the distribution centres that are entitled to supply the products bearing the trademark. <br />• A certificate that the trademark owner company maintains a quality control system. The certificate should be issued by entities accredited by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) or the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) or an Egyptian or foreign governmental entity approved by the Minister of Foreign Trade. </p><p>In case there is a suspicion in the validity of the submitted documents, registration in the relevant registry will not take place until these documents have been verified. Based on a request from the applicant, inspection of the company or manufacturing plant may take place to verify the validity of the documents after having the approval of the Minister of Foreign Trade.</p>

This technical regulation lays down the safety requirements applied to the classified types of Portland Cement placed on the markets in Bahrain, whether manufactured in or imported to Bahrain. The regulation specifies the chemical composition, mechanical and physical and labelling requirements as stated in document (White Portland Cement Requirements). The cement labelling requirements shall be stated on the cement bags and the delivery notes.</span></span>
