Session 1: Compliance of Food Contact Materials in China
With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, the requirements for food safety have been increasing. The excessive amount of hazardous substances detected from food contact materials has caused widespread concern among consumers and regulatory authorities. Over the past years, China has been releasing and updating FCM regulations to improve FCM regulatory system.
In China, the food contact material is regulated based on the positive list of permitted substances. Only substances that are included in the positive list can be used in the production of food contact materials. For those new substances, you need to apply for the new food contact substance and undergo a strict official assessment before approval. In this webinar, I will introduce the China FCM regulations and compliance workflow in detail, hoping to help foreign enterprises more smoothly complete product compliance and circulation in the Chinese market.
